When I left my hometown, I had no plans to return. New city – new me.
But when a family emergency brings me back home, I’m forced to pack up my life and take the only available job.
Wesley Steele is the owner of Good Wood Tree Removal Inc. and the boss from hell. A typical lumberjack, he’s bearded, arrogant and offensive. He’s everything I despise in a man. I want nothing to do with him or his flannel clad chest.
But, he’s on a mission, intent to change my mind. How far is he willing to go to prove there’s more depth to him than meets the eye?

I am a huge fan of this duo and individually because they write some of the hottest books I’ve read and you always get sucked into their stories! This book was no different and with my love of beards…..swoon worthy all around. My heart broke for Avery and her need to get out of her small town because I lived in a small town and sometimes you just need a fresh start somewhere else. But leaving that small town also has some drawbacks to life that are not so expected and then you realize you never should have left.
I am very fond of Avery in more ways than one; being from a small town and then being bullied to even family emergencies. Avery’s attitude towards Wes was so funny to watch how each would react to different things and I was upset with Avery at one point but a small part understood her hurt. Wesley seemed like a bit of a ladies man and apart of that “in” crowd you weren’t apart of in high school. Although Avery’s sister Lucy claims he was different now that they are adults, you could still see the ladies man come out of his mouth almost every time he talked to Avery. The banter that these two had was awesome and full of sexual tension I was ready to explode from excitement.
Marley and Jacob this book had my heart in a knot and although emotionally it was hard for me to read, I loved every part. Although, I was left with several questions that I hope get answered with another book and I will greedily await for the arrival of that book! Clipped was full of different emotions from sad, annoyed, anger, excitement, arousal and just everything you look for in a great read! I congratulate both of you on and incredible job again with a best seller and can’t wait to see what you two have in store for us next!!
