Millie Cross knows what it’s like to burn for someone. She was young and wild and he was fierce and even wilder-a Chaos biker who made her heart pound. They fell in love at first sight and life was good, until she learned she couldn’t be the woman he needed and made it so he had no choice but to walk away. Twenty years later, Millie’s chance run-in with her old flame sparks a desire she just can’t ignore. And this time, she won’t let him ride off . . .

After ending a loveless marriage, High is shocked when his true love walks back into his life. Millie is still gorgeous, but she’s just a ghost of her former self. High’s intrigued at the change, but her betrayal cut him deep-and he doesn’t want to get burned again. As High sinks into meting out vengeance for Millie’s betrayal, he’ll break all over again when he realizes just how Millie walked through fire for her man
AMY W’S REVIEW
KA writes her best Chaos book to date.
High (Logan or Lo) and Millie are sweet the first time around but SEXY as H*** the second time around. This is a guaranteed tear jerker and I recommend you have tissue handy.
Many will think the idea behind the BIG secret is a bit far fetched but I feel it showcases the immaturity of Millie and High both. Even when they meet the ONE they are not old enough to appreciate what they have at the time. This is another instance of a communication not being a significant part of a relationship.
That being said, I LOVED this book. The beginning is hard to stomach because there is so much misplaced emotion but once the dirty laundry is aired the relationship is a mature and copacetic one. You can even feel the love that they have for each other in the beginning. There is no way two people react to each other the way that Millie and High do if there is not feelings there.
I like the cameos of the Dream Man series hot guys and the other welcoming committee (Tyra, Elvira and Lanie)
I always look forward to KA releases and as usual she did not disappoint.
I listened to this story via audible this time around and I have to say it was even more emotional this time around. I “High”ly (pun intended) you listen to this one if given the chance the narration is spot on and gives the story a lot more emotion than I read on the page ( and there was a TON of emotion read first time around) SO. MANY. FEELS!!!
