REVIEW: So Much More by Kim Holden

so-much-more

amazon-buttonSYNOPSIS

Love is strange. It comes out of nowhere. There’s no logic to it. It’s not methodical. It’s not scientific. It’s pure emotion and passion. And emotion and passion can be dangerous because they fuel love…and hate.

I’m now a reluctant connoisseur of both—an expert through immersion. I know them intimately.

When I fell in love with Miranda, it was swift and blind. She was the person I’d elevated to mythical status in my head, in my dreams.

Here’s the thing about dreams, they’re smoke.

They’re spun as thoughts until they become something we think we want. Something we think we need.

That was Miranda. She was smoke.

I thought I wanted her. I thought I needed her.

Over time reality crept in and slowly dissected and disemboweled my dreams like a predator, leaving behind a rotting carcass.

Reality can be a fierce bitch.

So can Miranda.

And I can be a fool…

who believes in dreams.

And people.

And love.

Note from the author: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is recommended for mature audiences only.

REVIEW

I had a tough time reading this book, unfortunately. I LOVED Kim’s other books and so I was trying to read all her books before her new release. For me this was a very dark book and put me in a back and forth kind of mood which made me sad and which made me take longer than I usually do to read a book. I just straight up hated Miranda and everything she did throughout the book, I will say she redeemed herself but I could never forgive her or the way she treated her family. I loved Seamus but I also wanted to punch him in the face a few times but in all I had hearts in my eyes for the guy the entire time! And when you meet Faith…love is all I can say! She took my heart in this book along with the kids!

At the end of this book I felt accomplished in finally finishing and an overwhelming urge to cry and just be happy. So many life lessons you can take from this book but just know it will take a strong mind to read this because this book takes you out of the element of this authors typical read.

4 stars!

REVIEW: My Sister’s Husband by Cara Chance

SYNOPSIS

Insta-love, hot sex, Bad Boy, HEA

Dante Garcia is sexy, hot, and totally lickable.
His dark hair, sexy body and gorgeous eyes make it impossible to stay away from him.
But, I have to.
I can’t even think about him.
Not even late at night when I’m alone.
Because he’s married to my sister, and this family get-together just became a nightmare for me.
How am I supposed to even be in the same room with him?
For me, this summer trip is going to suck, much like I wish Dante would suck on me.
Shit, I mean fuck my life.

REVIEW

When you are reading a Cara Chance book you just need to wait for the wow factor! This is my third Cara Chance book and each time she has taken me by surprise! Dante is the man she’s not suppose to want but it was desire at first sight. Lola was pressured into coming for a visit because her sister got married..again and Lola’s mom wants everyone to spend some quality time getting to know this new man. With a hot accent and a lickable body how will Lola keep away from her new brother-in-law?

Just by reading the title you think to yourself it’s going to be a little shady and you might not be so sure about reading this one, but you would be missing out. She picks the most amazing titles that have me doubt my pick at first but once you finish you will definitely one-click the rest of her books.

Take a chance (no pun intended) on this new indie author who will leave you with not only an aroused state of mind but also a great story with an unexpected ending!

REVIEW:

J.D. Hollyfields makes you tingle in all the right places with this sexy novella.
Gretchen is a wanna be bada$$ that is down on her luck and with no better choices she accepts a substitute teacher position from her sister. She meets the hottie science teacher, she rudely refer to as “Peter Parker” and there is instant chemistry even if Gretchen is too blind to it. Thankfully Peter is not and has a few lessons he can teach her.

Beware: this book will cause blushing, seat squirming and frequent side glances (just to be sure no one is watching said seat squirming and blushing)

SYNOPSIS:

When Ethan Parker’s investigation leads him to Delilah Brooks, he hopes he’s finally found his best friend’s long-lost daughter. What he wasn’t expecting was to want her for himself—with an intensity that drives him to get her pregnant before her father finds out about the two of them.

Delilah falls hard and fast for Ethan. But she isn’t sure what to think when he confesses his connection to the father she’s never met. Or how her father is going to react when he learns she’s having his best friend’s baby.

REVIEW:

If you like it hot and quick this one is for you! PHEW!!
The insta love between Lilah and Ethan jumps off of the page. I am actually surprised that my Kindle did not melt!
Lilah is mature and knows what she wants and has a backbone to boot! Ethan is uber alpha and takes what he wants and no one will take it away from him.
BEST OF ALL there is a STORY LINE! I like it quick and dirty but I like it best served up with a story! My one and only drawback was the MARCUS angle, ONE question that isn’t answered and I find it bugging me enough to message the authors!

Overall Good Job. 4.5 DELICIOUS ALPHA stars!
